The test window for Test #2 will be open during the week October 16 - 20. Students generally find Test #2 a bit tougher than Test #1, so the grades tend to drop a bit. This test covers Parts 3 and 4 of the course. So there will be some questions about the simplex method for solving linear programming problems, and there will be questions about the combinatorics techniques encountered in Part 4. Keep in mind that all the topics of Part 4 will be heavily used in Part 5 (which makes up the entirety of Test #3). So mastering Part 4 pays off three times: on Test #2, on Test #3, and again on the final exam.
